Kicked While We’re Down
Last night, my husband’s car got broken into, or rather, the car he was borrowing from a friend. His car broke down a month ago and the repairs (on a car we’re still paying for) were over $4000. We couldn’t afford the repairs and our friend had been lending us his extra car for the Spring/Summer.
They smashed the back windows on both sides of the car and stole my husband’s work backpack and school backpack. They took 2 laptops, a gopro to record his sessions, a hard drive, all his video files, and his school notebooks and text books.
We have been barely scraping by while my husband finishes his Master’s program. He has 1 1/2 months left. Now, everything’s gone. He says he has most of his work saved on Drive at least but we don’t have a home computer. All his work is done on his laptop.
I thought my flat tire that I had to change myself yesterday (on brand new tires I might add) was bad. I thought my recent health situation (I still don’t have answers for yet) was enough. I thought we couldn’t possibly deal with more. We can’t afford to replace everything lost. Insurance will take time that he just doesn’t have. Will it even cover a borrowed vehicle? We still have to get the windows of my friend’s car replaced.
I’ve never done this before but I’m asking for help. If you have anything to spare, we could really use it.
The police had my husband fill out a report online. When my purse was stolen out of my car a few years ago, I even sent in the neighbor’s camera footage but nothing came of it. We’ll do that again but I doubt anything more will come of it. If you pray, pray for us. If you don’t, please send good vibes our way. We could really use them.

I’m so frustrated for you and B.
We’re praying that you quickly get the help you need. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗❤️😘
I’m sharing this with family and I’ll restack it. I just wish I could do more.
That sucks.
